Not many companies are doing a great deal of hiring these days. While that is true, it is also true that if you are hiring it is even more important to make sure you hire a top candidate because a bad hire is a costly hire and nobody can afford to make too many bad hires in a bad economy. Take the time to find resources on recruiting and hiring people to be sure that you have the best chance to hire good people. There is a wealth of "A" talent available. There is also a great deal of B, C and D talent. You need to learn to sort through that talent and understand how to ask the right questions. You need to learn to attract the "A" talent and say no to the B/C/D's. So take the time to do some research and improve your process to make sure that if you are hiring you find some "A" talent.
